Ignite your independence and come out to Light Up The Sky Celebration. VIP guests will dance along with a DJ, win raffle prizes, have access to a private patio for games and fireworks viewing, and devour gourmet food. The FREE general admission area allows tailgating with friends and family, enjoying a variety of food trucks, playing games in the Kid Zone, and enjoying live music before being dazzled by a 25-minute spectacular fireworks display.

Young emerging artists look no further! The City of Avondale is hosting its annual Blank Canvas Summer Showcase. Participants of the Blank Canvas Summer Showcase will be provided with a FREE 18 x 24-inch blank canvas to create original artwork inspired by each individual's ideas surrounding beauty, values, and culture. Canvases are provided by Avondale’s Neighborhood and Family Services Department. Participants will be divided into three age groups: 5 - 8, 9 - 12, and 13 - 17. Registration is required, deadline June 4, 2024.

Bring your furry friends for a barking good time at our howl-o-ween pooch party. With food trucks, pup photo opportunities, dog crafts, pet exhibitors, and costume contests, it’s sure to be a paw-some day for dogs and their humans alike.

Kick off your night of trick or treating with a one-of-a-kind Spooktacular experience at Creepin’ Candy Crawl. Exhibitors and city departments will line the park in this walking experience to pass out candy and goodies for all youth participants to enjoy. Family-friendly activities including crafts and entertainment are sure to delight guests of all ages.

Join us for a great day of golf and goodwill at the Avondale Championship Open to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley's Bob Bove Branch - A Thornwood Legacy. Preregistration is required.
