Old Town Avondale
Originally named Coldwater, Avondale started out as a stagecoach stop in the early days. The heart of Old Town is Western Avenue; a pedestrian-friendly street featuring locally-owned small businesses, unique and award-winning restaurants, cultural and urban art, festivals, and eclectic building-scapes that run the stretch from Central Avenue to Dysart Road. As the historic core of Avondale, it is a part of the Valley that holds a truly nostalgic charm.
