June Update
This project has three distinct phases.
- The first phase on 7th Street south of MC85 and on MC85 from 7th Street to Dysart repairing the sewer line was completed on time.
- The second phase involved a jack and bore operation to run a new sewer line under the railroad under the south bound lanes of Dysart Road. Due to the nature of the work, specifically additional regulations regarding construction adjacent and under a railroad, this portion of work had to be paused. Tremendous cooperation between the contractor, design team, Union Pacific Railroad, and the City have enabled the phase to restart the week of June 26. Please note the project schedule assumed possible delays and so the completion date has not been negatively impacted.
- The final phase of the project, the sewer replacement (pipe bursting) in Dysart Road from Western to Riley, is currently under construction and within schedule. The traffic control, which currently limits Dysart Road to right in / right out turns only, is expected to be removed in early August, as planned and communicated to businesses and residents in the area.
City staff and the construction team continue to respond to concerns and questions regarding the project via the 24 hour project hotline number 602-532-6250.
