Avondale residents and development partners are encouraged to provide feedback about proposed changes to user fees, which will take effect September 1, 2025. Findings from a recent user fee study revealed that 73% of fees had not been adjusted since 2019. In addition to updating the fees considered in this study, staff recommend updating several other fees. The recommended fees are designed to recover an appropriate share of the cost of providing services while staying competitive with neighboring jurisdictions.
Please view the Public Notice Report 2025 User Fees.pdf for a comprehensive list of Development Services, Engineering, and Fire fees, and the additional fee recommendations by staff.

Findings revealed that 73% of these fees had not been adjusted since 2019.
Recommendation
In addition to updates of the fees covered by the MGT study, staff recommends updating the court enhancement fee, copy fees, and special event fees.
