Avondale celebrates its history and heritage during this multi-day festival that features favorite elements including the bustling carnival, live entertainment, variety of food vendors. Visitors of all ages can explore cultural showcases and exhibitors.

Grab your chairs and blankets as we honor this year’s Grand Marshal and Jr. Grand Marshal along Central and Western Avenues for the historic Billy Moore Days Parade. This time-honored tradition features a variety of colorful floats, marching bands, dance groups, local businesses, and community groups, that displays Avondale’s culture and pride.

Trick-or-treat with us at this spooktacular experience. Exhibitors and city staff line the park passing out candy and goodies for all the youth participants in this walking experience. Family-friendly activities including crafts and entertainment will delight guests of all ages!

The West Valley’s Annual Veterans Day 5k Fun Run/Walk and Ceremony on November 11, 2025, will be held at Estrella Mountain Community College in partnership with the City of Avondale, and benefits veterans who face financial barriers to education. The City of Avondale Police and Fire Departments will also be onsite, providing interactive activities for all attendees. Local gyms will be hosting four exercise stations during the 5K run.

Bring the family and make some memories at this FREE event! Avondale turns into a winter wonderland with a visit from Santa, activities and entertainment, the premier of the holiday light show, annual tree lighting, food, and sweet treats.

Enjoy the dazzling lights this holiday season! The light display will be up throughout the season, with a show playing every 30 minutes on our City Christmas Tree. Bring a blanket or chair, your own treats, and your family and friends to enjoy this nightly show in front of City Hall.
