Avondale Blvd ADA Compliance Project: August - November, 2024
As part of the City of Avondale Pavement Preservation Program, the Avondale Public Works Department, in collaboration with Combs Construction, will be upgrading concrete ramps to ensure ADA compliance on Avondale Boulevard. This work is part of a larger resurfacing project scheduled for this summer on Avondale Boulevard. The project will commence south of I-10 and extend to Broadway Road, occurring from August 9th to August 17th. The entire project is expected to run until November 2.
This work will involve some lane closures and restrictions, we will always maintain an open lane of traffic at the work zone. Appropriate signage will be posted before the start of the work. The work hours will be from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday, and possibly Saturday. Schedules are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances such as mechanical breakdowns, weather conditions, and supplier material delays. Public safety is our top priority.
