Avondale Blvd Resurfacing Project: July - November 2024 - This project has been completed

As part of the City of Avondale Pavement Preservation Program, the Avondale Public Works Department, in collaboration with VSS International, will conduct a resurfacing project on Avondale Boulevard. The project will be executed in several stages, starting at Broadway Road and extending north to I-10, with work occurring both during the day and at night. This will involve lane closures and restrictions; however, an open lane of traffic in both northbound and southbound directions will always be maintained. Access to businesses will also be consistently maintained. This project will take place from July 29 to November 2.

Appropriate signage will be posted before work begins, Monday through Friday, and potentially on Saturdays. Please note that schedules are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances such as mechanical breakdowns, weather conditions, or supplier material delays. Public safety remains our top priority.
