FY25 Spring Pavement Program

The City of Avondale Public Works Department, in partnership with Weems Asphalt, VSS International, and MR TANNER will be undertaking various Surface Treatment Projects in selected subdivisions and Arterials as part of the FY25 pavement preservation program. This project is approximately scheduled to take place from April 14th - Jume 30th

Bulk trash services will be unaffected; collections will occur early in the morning within the project areas. Please ensure bulk trash is placed out by 5 AM on Monday during your service week.

Expect lane restrictions and closures throughout this period. To minimize disruption, signage will be placed before work begins, and door hangers will be distributed 48 hours prior to any activity. Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Vehicles left in the work zones risk being towed at the owner's expense.

Please note that the schedule may change due to unforeseen factors such as mechanical issues, weather conditions, or material supply delays. The safety of the public is our highest priority throughout this project.

An overview of the project sequence has been provided below. A more detailed map will be delivered to impacted households approximately 3 days prior to the start of work. For questions or more details, please call Public Works at 623-333-4487.

The maps below outline the sections that will be addressed in the Spring Pavement Program. Dates for VSS will be added once the contractor provide them.

Rancho Santa Fe

We encountered some unforeseen circumstances, with the rain that is predicted for Mondy the 5th and Tuesday the 6th we need to reschedule the work originally planned. These tasks will now be moved to the end of the project, after May 8th, 2025. We will send out new notifications with the updated dates soon. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Alamar & Verde Trails

We encountered some unforeseen circumstances with our material supplier, and as a result, we need to reschedule the work originally planned for April 30, 2025, and May 1, 2025. These tasks will now be moved to the end of the project, after May 6, 2025.

We will send out new notifications with the updated dates soon. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
