The City of Avondale Public Works Department, in partnership with VSS International, will be undertaking Cape Seal Surface Treatment Project, this is a two-stage application project in the subdivision of Glenarm Farms as part of the FY25 pavement preservation program. This project is scheduled to take place from October 11, with the Chip Seal stage, October 24 to November 1 with the Micro Seal stage.

Bulk trash services will be unaffected; collections will occur early in the morning within the project areas. Please ensure bulk trash is placed out by 5 AM on Monday during your service week.

Expect lane restrictions and closures throughout this period. To minimize disruption, signage will be placed before work begins, and door hangers will be distributed 48 hours prior to any activity. Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Vehicles left in the work zones risk being towed at the owner's expense.

Please note that the schedule may change due to unforeseen factors such as mechanical issues, weather conditions, or material supply delays. The safety of the public is our highest priority throughout this project.

Project Schedule:

Chip Seal - 10/10/2024

Micro Seal - 10/25/2024 to 10/31/2024
