Surface Treatment: May - June, 2024 *Schedule Revised 5/9/24*
The City of Avondale Public Works Department, in collaboration with ViaSun, will be conducting a Surface Treatment project in selected subdivisions as part of the FY24 pavement preservation program. The project is scheduled to run from May 20th to June 19th.
Bulk trash service will remain unaffected; services will be provided first thing in the morning in areas affected by the project. As a reminder, bulk trash much be placed out by 5 AM Monday morning the week of service.
Lane restrictions and closures will occur during the duration of the project. To minimize disruption, signage will be installed ahead of the commencement of work, and door hangers will be distributed 48 hours before any activities begin. Work hours for the project are from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Vehicles left in posted work zones may be towed at the owner's expense.
It's important to note the schedule may be subject to change due to unpredictable factors such as mechanical malfunctions, weather conditions, and delays in receiving materials from suppliers. Ensuring the safety of the public remains our utmost priority throughout this process.
