Water Conservation

AquaSmart Rewards Program
The City of Avondale’s water conservation program is integral to managing and planning the City’s limited water resources for today and into the future. By adopting a few easy, water-wise habits, our community can grow sustainably while saving water and money and helping the City reach its water conservation goals. The city promotes water conservation and water-efficient practices as a way of life here in the southwest desert. Many free water conservation resources are available to help you learn more about your water use and to help you save water and money. Water Saving Success Stories

What have you done to reduce Your Use? This is a place to share your story.

I replaced all of the water shut off valves inside the house and the main one outside. I also replaced all the toilet and sink hoses and continually search for and fix leaks. I also bought a new front loading HE washer and dryer, put in new water sense shower heads and made the toilets lower flow.

Thank you for sharing your story with us, we love participation!

  • Lowering water use

by Diane Mikho , 25 days ago

The two biggest changes we’ve made to reduce our water use is collecting the water from our ac to water indoor and outdoor plants and not leaving the water running when showering and washing dishes (sadly our dish washer isn't working right now).
